Psychology Of Persuasion • How To Persuade

Persuasion is Win/Win

People frequently ask me for the "secret" of persuasion... so here it is: find out what other people want and help them get it.

Zig Ziglar said it best when he said: You will get all you want in life if you help enough other people get what they want.

True persuasion is not about manipulating other people to get what you want, it is finding or creating win/win situations where other people get what they want the most and as a byproduct, you get everything you have ever wanted out of life.

The techniques, strategies, and frameworks taught here on PersuasionOne are all designed to be used with the assumption that you are seeking to serve others, not take advantage of them.

Here's are two examples:

#1 - You need to reduce the budget of a manager who reports to you. The best way to do this is to find something that is more important to them than the budget, and then help them to get the thing that is more important. You could also show them how cutting the budget will benefit them directly. The PersuasionOne skill set is designed to help you with difficult situations like this.

#2 - You are selling software and are facing pricing objections. By helping the prospect to discover something more important than price and giving it to them, you can eliminate the objection and make the sale. PersuasionOne research and the resulting frameworks will show you how to make your case in a way that the prospect will understand and agree with.

In both of these examples, the focus is not on getting what you want, but rather creating true win/win solutions by helping the other people discover and get what they really want.

When you do this you will become the master of your craft with and endless supply of grateful customers.
